ZMK's award-winning Michel Khozam details the restoration and preservation project at the iconic Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego.
About the Project
There are more than 100 windows of the laundry building at the Hotel Del Coronado. Michel Khozam with ZMK Construction shows how the windows are restored or replicated – down to the millimeter – and the hardwood floors are repaired according to the original architecture in 1888.
The industrial buildings have been closed to the public, but once the project is complete, they will take center stage when guests arrive at the Hotel Del Coronado.
ZMK Construction was proud to receive the 2018 People in Preservation Award, presented by the Save Our Heritage Organisation, for this meticulous restoration work.
